These sunscreen gallon pump bottles have a five-layer wall. The layers are HDPE, adhesive, EVOH, adhesive, and HDPE. Oxygen transmission is under 0.3 cc/pkg·day. We also add UV absorbers to the material. The bottle itself will not age. We produce them on our 12 blow molding machines. Each batch goes through a drop test from 1.2 meters in three directions. No break is allowed. Workers check 100% of the bottles.
You can choose brown or white bottles. The UV block rate is over 99%. The bottle resists common sunscreen ingredients like avobenzone and octocrylene. An Australian sunscreen brand had a problem. Their old bottle let in light. The formula went bad. We gave them a brown HDPE bottle with EVOH. They tested for six months. The formula stayed stable. Their first order was 50,000 pieces.
