These biodegradable cosmetic jars use Ingeo™ PLA. We produce them on our 13 injection machines. The mold structure is the same as for regular plastic. But the injection temperature must be controlled between 170°C and 190°C. Each batch goes through a biodegradation test according to ASTM D6400. The rate must be over 90% in 90 days. Workers check 100% of the jars for appearance.
PLA can only handle heat up to 50°C. These jars are good for products stored at room temperature. The carbon footprint is 70% lower than traditional plastic. A German organic brand needed biodegradable jars for their face cream. We gave them PLA jars. They tested the degradation performance and got a certificate. Their first order was 10,000 pieces. They have worked with us for one year. Capacities are 15g, 30g, and 50g. MOQ is 10,000 pieces. Sample takes 10 to 15 days. We can provide a degradation certificate. We support FOB.
